How the Hub Care Support works locally

Finding the right support should feel personal, not rushed.

That’s why we take the time to speak with every single person looking for support.

We want to understand your individual circumstances and needs so we can make the best, most informed suggestions for your support.

Chat with us

First, you tell your local Hub team what kind of support you are looking for. This might include companionship, help at home, personal care, respite support, dementia support or live-in care.

Review PA profiles

We send you the profiles of every Personal Support Assistant that potentially meets your wants and needs. Then it's over to you to take the time to fully review their profiles.

Arrange a chat

Once you've made your selections, invite the Personal Support Assistant(s) to meet with you so you can be sure that they are the right fit, ask them for any more information and discuss the finer details of your support.

Why we only introduce QCAS-approved PAs

Choosing a Personal Assistant is a personal decision, so reassurance matters.

Hub Care Support only introduces people to Personal Assistants who have been approved through QCAS, the Quality Care Approval Scheme. QCAS checks are designed to give people more confidence when choosing support at home.

Checks include identity, enhanced conviction free DBS, references, training and insurance.

Meet-the-team-Sam

Sam

Director

I’m Sam, Director of Hub Care Support – North Birmingham. Before Hub, I worked in aviation and landscape gardening, but through my mum’s experience working in care, I became increasingly aware of how little choice and control people can sometimes feel they have when looking for support.

Today, I spend much of my time speaking with individuals and families, listening to their concerns and understanding what really matters to them. I help people understand their options and support them through the process of finding QCAS-approved independent Personal Assistants who may be right for their individual circumstances.

What I value most about the Hub model is seeing people maintain their independence and dignity, while building genuine relationships where they never feel like simply another job.

Having grown up in Birmingham, I’m passionate about making Hub a helpful part of our wider local community, connecting people not only with Personal Assistants, but with useful information and support networks too.

Meet-the-team-Jemma

Jemma

Director

I’m Jemma, Director of Hub Care Support – North Birmingham. I have over 20 years’ experience across private and NHS care organisations, working my way from providing hands-on support through to management roles.

Throughout my career, I saw first-hand how traditional approaches didn’t always give people the choice, control, consistency or flexibility they deserved. That experience helped shape my belief that support should fit around the individual, rather than the individual having to fit around a service.

Alongside Hub, I continue to support as an independent Personal Assistant because I genuinely love supporting people and building meaningful relationships with individuals and their families. Seeing how the right support can uplift an entire family during what can be difficult times is incredibly rewarding.

Having always lived in Birmingham, I’m passionate about helping local people understand their options and introduce QCAS-approved independent Personal Assistants who can support their individual wishes and requests.

Excellent service from the start of my enquiry to the finish. Sam was very informative and answered questions i had promptly I then received a visit from Sam and Gemma at my home address to discuss the care that their personal assistants could offer. I met with a personal assistant within a few days and everything has been going well. The whole process was so quick and easy from start to finish. I have been that impressed i have recommended a friend to contact The care Hub. Thank you so much.

We chose Hub Care Support when my dad needed some support at home. Dad was able to meet his PA before hand and right from the start they got on really well. Dad was initially reluctant to have help but he now couldn't do without his PA. It is really good for him that he has the same person come every day. Hub Care Support have provided an excellent service and I would recommend them without hesitation.

We have been using Hubcare, for 15months. We have 3 calls a day, without the skills of our carers, mom would have been in hospital a number of times. They are very quick to pick up on mom’s behaviour, identifying UTIs, to enable us to get antibiotics quickly, before mom becomes too ill, needing hospital care, which happened with our last carer. Mom doesn’t like eating and drinking and they are adaptable and try different things, tempting mom to eat and drink. We have WhatsApp group, we have regular updates, communication is brilliant between us all. Without their amazing care. Mom would be in a home, which is something we really want to avoid x Thank you for your genuine care xx
